The only effective response to the USA’s breathtaking corruption is for the remaining countries to walk away. Let them have their own football “World Series” where the only entrants are from the US, and the only international spectator is Infantino.

While in the name of football, we all want the obvious team to win, there would also be something entirely fitting about this World Cup - defined by shameless corruption, pervasive greed, institutional cowardice and flagrant racism - being won by a team of outright cheats.

Am fascinated to learn how somebody with no experience of the legal system either professionally or politically can be said to satisfy the requirement of s2 Constitutional Reform Act 2005 that the Lord Chancellor be “qualified by experience”.
