    World's going to hell in a handbasket. Here's 3 goslings hatched yesterday guarded by their 3 very stroppy parents.

    Am now thoroughly enjoying myself building a list of books by authors who have pulled out of the Bendigo Writers Festival. Pickup of the library holds may require a few trips this time around, plus it's been a pleasure to buy quite a few that sounded too good not to own.

    Day 4 and we're expecting well over 45c with Ouyen looking down the barrel of 49+. No rain, gusty dangerous wind change this afternoon so everyone's on edge. We'll have to look harder at when the water carter can fit us in, keeping poultry alive in this is emptying tanks and bank accs rapidly

    Haven't posted much personal stuff here - so I thought I'd start with a photo of the Fab Four. Please see the ALT text for an explanation of who is who.

    A group of 4 Australian Terriers in and around a fluffy grey bed. The dogs are all small, Black and Tan, with long noses, and manes of hair around their necks. Starting from the left - top rear, is Cassie our latest - ex-breeding dog 6.5 years old. Front left is the oldest / frailest of the bunch - rescued a few years ago now Laverne is around 15 (she's got very dodgy eyes). Then in the middle, back is the only boy of the bunch - Mambo is 9 and the only one we have had since he was a puppy. On the right, standing up begging a cuddle is 12 year old Shirley - another rescue. She and Laverne were breeding dogs together since they were puppies, so had to be kept together. We're pretty sure she's Mambo's mum, but the paperwork was lost in the kerfuffle of getting them to safety.

    Let me get this right - Albo (for all his myriad of other faults), made an ick of himself misspeaking on a podcast.

    One of the vocal critics of that is Barnaby Joyce who was sleeping with a younger staffer whilst still married.
