Vale to the wonderful, funny and very clever Kerry Greenwood.

Another way too young. Thoughts with David and the rest of her family, friends and cats.

World's going to hell in a handbasket. Here's 3 goslings hatched yesterday guarded by their 3 very stroppy parents.

There's a flooding emergency unfolding in Wye River at the moment - listening to the scanner and there are reports that vehicles have been washed out to sea and they are evacuating buildings.

Am now thoroughly enjoying myself building a list of books by authors who have pulled out of the Bendigo Writers Festival. Pickup of the library holds may require a few trips this time around, plus it's been a pleasure to buy quite a few that sounded too good not to own.

Bloody hell - well done Sussan - not being marriageable fodder for the likes of him is a policy I can support (never thought I'd be saying anything like that to a Lib ....)

I do "admire" the way Andrew Hastie thinks anyone cares about how or when he abandons the sinking ship.

"We need more Paul Cutler's and writers like David Whish-Wilson that are willing to turn the wrongs that they see into illustrations for the rest of us."

Bit on the #amreading list at the moment:

    Reservation for Murder, June Wright
    Gunnawah, Ronni Salt
    Don't Eat Me, Colin Cotterill
    The Chancellor, Kati Marton

Why, with 100's of books here unread, I even set foot in the library?, yet here we are...

I am currently clinging desperately to the idea that when Don Walker wrote "How could I not believe what Ita tells me to?" he was being deeply deeply sarcastic...

Day 4 and we're expecting well over 45c with Ouyen looking down the barrel of 49+. No rain, gusty dangerous wind change this afternoon so everyone's on edge. We'll have to look harder at when the water carter can fit us in, keeping poultry alive in this is emptying tanks and bank accs rapidly

Very sad news, Nigel McCrery wrote some very good crime fiction as well

Let me get this right - Albo (for all his myriad of other faults), made an ick of himself misspeaking on a podcast.

One of the vocal critics of that is Barnaby Joyce who was sleeping with a younger staffer whilst still married.

Hypocrisy means something different in RWNJ circles.
