Let me get this right - Albo (for all his myriad of other faults), made an ick of himself misspeaking on a podcast.

One of the vocal critics of that is Barnaby Joyce who was sleeping with a younger staffer whilst still married.

Hypocrisy means something different in RWNJ circles.

This little bundle of gorgeous arrived yesterday. She's got some adjusting to do because the terriers are being terriers, so we're taking it slowly.

    Meet Phryne

A stray who was rescued with a litter of kittens, she's possibly a couple of years old. Very cuddly and purry, very discombobulated.

My #review of the excellent #YeahNoir novel Hooked Up by Fiona Sussman:

    tinyl.co/4gUP

... what works with all of Sussman's novels is interactions, dialogue, sensitivities, failings, successes & general being humanness that she has nailed in every story ...

Today's #Review is of Against Their Will by Karina Kilmore

Confronting subject matter, mitigated by some really strong female characterisations in a plot that absolutely gallops along

Today's #review is 2nd in the Bloodline Series - Dirty! by Taliyah Stone, a novella that's chilling:

    www.austcrimefiction.org/review/dirty...

DIRTY! is a short sharp, and very clear-eyed foray into manipulation and extreme antisocial tendencies ...

This morning our ginger idiot slid down some laser light roofing onto the top of the cool room and just sat up there meowing until we worked out a way to get him down. Was he grateful... Nope not even slightly

Today's #review is Stay Buried by Jane R. Miles

"Compelling, gripping, claustrophobic, and creepy as hell, STAY BURIED was a roller coaster of emotion from start to finish."

"How did we fail? What could we have done to prevent this?" A line from a recent book I read and something I can't get out of my head, in particular, since the news of the death of Layla Jeffrey in Donald. We're failing these women and girls. All of us.

When cleaning out my cousin's stuff a while ago I found my great aunt's glass citrus juicer. It's absolutely brilliant to use, has to be over 60 years old because I remember it from my childhood. Now used daily here

NAIDOC week and a couple of purchases supply nation certified Native Craft gin from Dharawal which is really nice and a couple of books from ANTAR. Looking forward to Snake Talk, having loved Sand Talk

It's been cold and foggy this morning, but it's a very rare thing indeed to see all four of them together like this. Must be colder than we thought or the sound of the new cat playing (aka destroying) stuff in the other end of the house is making them wonder what the hell is going on.

Had to evict some spiders from the gumboots this morning. Forecast said chance of 20mls, we've had 60 and it's still gently raining.
