Shell scripting might be the prime example here, with Bash being notoriously complicated and error prone. Another the insanely bad UX of most debuggers on Unix-like systems, and lastly the hostility of Stackoverflow (and derivatives) towards more novice members

People went to Reddit instead of parsing Google’s results way before the advent of LLMs. The difference is simply that 2) lost lots of its friction (now we can ask the LLM to parse through all these results). Where it get’s more interesting though is that 1) gains in importance in the process

It’s interesting to see how western companies slowly seem to work towards a state that seems to be the norm already in other countries. Even for something as innocent as Apple Music age verification is necessary to listen to certain things in South Korea. But no one seems to beat an eye here
