At the hospital for an appointment with my doctor.

"You don't have an appointment; it's next week."

Shows them the email from their IT system for the appointment, today.

"i'm sorry he's not here, and it's next week."

Butts head against wall in frustration.

"We better find him a doctor".

Explaining tangled in 2 easy steps:

Step 1: "What's tangled? It's like GitHub, but on the ATmosphere"

Step 2: "What's GitHub? Think OnlyFans for developers"

    Ktsschh boom.

I think it was a Swedish newspaper that forced you to answer a question about the article before you could comment on it. Back when newspapers had comments.

Someone build them a Bluesky commenting widget that validates if someone read it and sends them back to BS with permission to reply.

Stable, high usage of the astrosky custom feeds, via @emily.space at #atscience. #Atmosphereconf.

I thought it'd be fun to do some YouTube short interviews with people here at #AtmosphereConf, just to ask them about the moment they realised that atproto was worth building on. So here's my very first with @tylerjfisher.com of @sill.social

Next week I’ll be in Berlin for a European Digital Sovereignty Summit satellite event to help launch @eurosky.social.

So it's time to ask: what does #sovereignty look like in the #socialmedia space?

Since getting back from #AtmosphereConf I've spent days reading my notes and some of the material I’d bookmarked, posts I’d saved and photographs I’d taken, trying to get my thoughts into some sort of order. Still working on that, but managed to get out this: 🧵

I had to check it was real.

Apparently "People in countries with lower average AI literacy tended to be more open to adopting AI compared to those in countries with higher literacy... [&] lower AI literacy predicts greater receptivity to AI".

Astonishing! Who'd imagine that? WHAT COULD IT MEAN???

We're definitely back for another 4 years of the jokes writing themselves.

So many good science-oriented features on the upcoming Lea browser, presented at #ATsciemce by @mariaa.bsky.social. #Atmosphereconf.

Finally wrote up my #EuroSkyLive Berlin presentation from last month so that I have something more to refer people to than "watch me bounce around the stage for 19 minutes".

If there was one thing I wish was more generally known, it would be the culture of collaboration amongst developers. They're literally inventing the future, mainly in their spare time, and almost no-one notices until it changes the world. It's extraordinary.

Can we have a custom feed which we can use for EuroSky Follow Friday? Hear me out.

    It should show you posts
    - from people you follow
    - with a #euroskyff hashtag (or something)
    - and mentioning somebody you don't follow who is on the @eurosky.social PDS

Didn't get to ask my question, so here they are @anna.wsocial.eu (I'm in the room :))

But firstly, welcome to the Atmosphere! It's always great to see another app join the OSW (open social web).
