ignoring what other people think and enjoying something is a hugely underrated skill

pathologically avoiding “writing boilerplate” by using LLMs robs you of the ability to understand why that boilerplate came to exist in the first place

understanding the context of the system you’re working on is important

when you understand it is when you can start to automate and refactor
