Today I’m playing with an idea that’s been on my mind for too long: storing design systems tokens on the #Atmosphere
My proof of concept works, and that Makes Me Happy™
Playdate’s Design Guide is a pretty nice read, even if you’re not interested in developing games for it.
I wish more systems (including design systems!) included docs like this.

For the people who complement their work with consulting / advisory roles for other companies or startups: how did you get started?
I’d like to explore that avenue in 2025, but I have to admit I’m completely lost.
This is, by far, the best Product Design job offer I’ve seen in a very long time: sudowrite.com/jobs/designer
As a designer-who-codes who has learnt CSS by picking random bits here and there as needed, I’m enjoying every-layout.dev very much.
They have a 50% off Black Friday promo, and the content is well worth the price of admission.
My dear iOS dev friends, you *need* to take a look at this thing to record app demos: matte.app
Just finished reading this and it’s a MUST read if you’re working on or around design (or even if you’re not: it’s *very* good).
I hope it inspires other people working on AI projects to reflect on what they’re building (and why).
Bravo @penpot.app for sharing this 👏👏👏
Fuck capitalism in general, and Bending Spoons in particular www.dcrainmaker.com/2025/05/komo...
Today I’m playing with omlet.dev and I’m loving it. If works beautifully out of the box, and they just released a VS Code extension that’s *magic*.
If you have a project with React components, take it for a spin because it will tell you things about your own code that you may not already know.
Today’s plan: listen to @choan.es’s latest album on rotation because it’s beautiful and soothing.
You can do the same (which I definitely recommend doing) and buy the album at: choan.bandcamp.com/album/dream-...

Te iba a decir que algún día, cuando no temiese por mi vida si lo cuento, te explicaría una historia que hicieron en México para lo mismo.
Pero ya te lo cuenta la prensa de allá www.eluniversal.com.mx/metropoli/am...
The best thing you’ll read today is this article with basic graphic design concepts explained using smiley faces. Specifically: optical alignment and size adjustment to make things look pretty and balanced.
Enjoy! minoraxis.medium.com/advanced-ico...
Remember that time when Reddit users started a competition to design the worst UI for a volume control?
Someone took inspiration from that and made a full game out of increasingly infuriating UI designs

This reimagined Tetris for #pico8 is absolutely amazing. Everything from the physics and game mechanics to the music is a work of art.
Go enjoy it and have a great Friday!

I don’t know how deep you think you are into your hobbies, but I’m pretty sure you can’t beat “I made a subway for my cats”

Another (way simpler) option to get your daily brown noise dose if you use Apple platforms: ale.today/generating-b...
I just read this on the docs for a documentation framework:
“a new type earns existence only when no existing recipe’s contract fits without breaking it”
My brain:
Someone has recreated Lemmings in PICO-8, and made it available for download for *free*, not only for PICO-8 but also for Mac, Linux, and Windows.
I know what I’ll be doing today:
This was pretty enjoyable to read, thanks for sharing!
I’m definitely sending the link to my (dev) friends who say “I’m not a designer” 😊
If you’ve read the Bun rewrite blog post (and you should because it’s fascinating from a tech perspective), you should 100% read this reply from Zig’s lead developer: andrewkelley.me/post/my-thou...
Things I’m going to regret watching: video of a dude who’s set up his cargo bike as a coffee stand for weekend farmer’s market 😅
Paraphrasing the old adage: “it’s cool to be an expert, but it’s much cooler to have an expert friend“.
Make friends, they’re a way better investment than a Claude Code subscription 😘
Anthropic says “Claude Code Dynamic Workflows”, but what I hear is “chicken chicken chicken chicken”
It also has very strong “Chicken Chicken Chicken: Chicken Chicken” vibes
