I now fervently believe this. Relatedly, I think celebrating good news and embracing joy are equally radical. You have to remember what you’re fighting for. We cannot sustainably organize around sorrow.
Meta Glasses are like, a Cybertruck for your face.
I’m boarding a ferry to Provincetown. A bunch of high school students walked past me and started cheering. I was so confused.
And then I realized the shirt I’m wearing says “DUMB BITCH SUMMER.”
My editor just showed me the cover for my book I burst into tears. It’s so right.
I’m so glad we’ve come back to our senses and realized that hotels are way better than AirBnB.
A great classic hotel is EVERYTHING. I’m talking at least two bars, two restaurants, concierge, REAL room service, lounges where you can sit and pretend to read while eavesdropping. The WORKS.
lol
“Owners of Meta's AI glasses have been told they must pay a monthly fee if they want full access to a feature that was previously free.”
I don’t like people enough to be a polycule. What do you mean we’re ALL gonna live together???? In MY home???? The reward for love is… multiple roommates???
Nah. I want to fall in love with one man and I’d prefer he had his own apartment across the hallway.
I read from my work in progress tonight in Provincetown and y’all, the actor Alfre Woodard was in the front row! She’s so nice! We talked and hugged after!
A lot of y’all don’t know how to talk to people.
The way some people waddle into my replies and talk out the side of their mouths at me is shocking.
And I’m always like, if they’re talking like this to ME in digital public, what are they like with other people??? Yikes.
“More than a thousand people rallied for Justin Pearson, a Democratic state representative running for Congress, in the wake of four fatal shootings by members of the Memphis Safe Task Force over the last two months.”
I’m not even watching most of the games and I’m already going to miss when the World Cup is over. I love the vibes! An antidote to both individual and national isolationism.
It really is a privilege to be able to sit outside in the morning with iced tea and a book. I’m so grateful that my work has given me the opportunity to spend time in some peaceful places to rethink, write and reset.
I become so tender when I’m on vacation.
This morning, I realized I’ve seen a lot of monarch butterflies all over Provincetown this week. And then I got choked up because it occurred to me that seeing them here means gardeners have been cultivating what the monarchs need in order to thrive.
😭🥹
I just burst out laughing because I remembered that Drake bet $1.5 million on Argentina winning the World Cup.
Graham Platner is a bad guy???? No way, who could’ve predicted this????
Bros don’t let bros doomscroll. 💖
Argentina is an evil that must be defeated. I also hope its soccer team loses.
OMG, we just passed a whale! Everyone went to one side of the boat and I turned and saw a water spout! Massachusetts is the best. Shit just be happening.
“Triggering”???????????
He’s talking about Platner, but also evergreen:
I’ve bonded with all the waiters and bartenders here because they’re rooting for Spain too.
“Troy Jackson, who is expected to become the Democratic nominee for Senate in Maine, said he would not support Senator Chuck Schumer of New York to continue as the party’s leader in the chamber. Mr. Jackson also said that he was not sure he would want Mr. Schumer’s help in the general election.”
