Naïve to think he was ever going to end ICE traffic stops. He LIKES that his secret police force can do whatever they want with no repercussions. The cruelty is the point.

The feds are finally sharing evidence from Renee Good and Alex Pretti's killings, but this took way too long, and it's not enough. Minnesotans' trust has been fundamentally broken.

ICE agents feel emboldened because they know their higher ups will protect them by lying to the public about what happened. How can we trust any sort of investigation solely done by an agency that does whatever it wants, whenever it wants, with no repercussions?

Six months ago, Alex Pretti was shot by federal immigration agents on the streets of Minneapolis, just 18 days after ICE fatally shot Renee Good. Alex was a 37-year-old intensive care nurse for veterans, an outdoorsman, a dog lover, a brother, and a son.

Seems obvious that if you vote before Election Day, your vote should be counted even if the Postal Service takes forever.

Refusing any type of independent investigation is not normal. Blocking local law enforcement from evidence is not normal.

The progress of America has never been linear. The best version of this country is possible, but only if we don’t let them divide and distract us. This country belongs to ALL of us.

Refusing any type of independent investigation is not normal. Blocking local law enforcement fromreviewing evidence is not normal. ICE is beyond repair. We can no longer reform our way out of this. It is well time to strip it down to the studs and start over.

The promise and privilege of citizenship extends to every child born in our jurisdiction, and those children deserve just as much of a shot at the American dream as those whose families have been here for generations.

No xenophobic Executive Order can undo that.

I’m so sad to hear that today, on the last day of Pride Month, we have lost a long time Minnesota state legislator and a fierce fighter for justice and freedom for all people: Karen Clark.

Breaking News: Federal agents are said to have been told that the FBI will no longer investigate confrontations with immigration agents. If enacted, such a change would sharply limit law enforcement scrutiny of immigration agents.
