Coming back from today's #TeslaTakedown in SF. A couple hundred ppl were gathered on three sides of the O'Farrell & Van Ness intersection, lots of "No Kings" vibes punctuated by chants of, "People over profit, stop the coup!" Energy was upbeat and determined.

What is essential in the comings days is to emphasize that any state which is willing to consign so many innocents to death based on non-citizenship is one that will not hesitate to expand that definition to cover new categories of undesirable & keep extending it as the crisis deepens.

From the Tesla Takedown today. There were substantially more people there this week than last, pedestrians & ppl in cars were supportive, & the signs are getting a bit spicier! If the goal of calling this domestic terrorism was deterrence then that's failed.

Any system that thinks the best way to fix a sinking boat is to push people out is not a system that will ever address why the boat is sinking. Why should they, once they've found a solution that doesn't threaten their position or proximity to power no matter how illusory it is.

I love how incredibly Heathen this sentiment is. Great odds and obstacles are meant to be overcome, defied, and challenged however and in whatever way you can. Even certain defeat calls for resistance, not submission.

This is central to what makes fascism incredibly unstable. It takes the stated rationale of an oppressive system at face value while ignoring the unstated facts that make it functional. It's also why fascists are so bad at logistics, analysis, & lots of other stuff you need to make empire work.
