The documents Trump cited don't even make his case - and actually refute much of it. But that didn'tg matter. No foreign regime, no spies, no saboteurs have yet matched the damage that America’s own president just did tonight to faith in U.S. elections.

Trump has lost control of this war and his flailing in Ankara shows just how completely adrift he really is.

Two more Americans dead, one missing. The president must tell Congress why he’s gambling with the lives of U.S. service members.

Ossoff was excellent.
Platner has royally screwed his party and his state. He should get no right to dictate anything other than a letter of apology in which he withdraws from the race and then leaves public life.
The fact that Platner hasn't quit yet should tell you that this is not gonna go well.
Well, that was ....something. Article about to drop.
But that speech was not only bonkers, the documents prove, in some places, the OPPOSITE of what he's claiming.
What Platner is doing right now is trying to ignite an intra-party nuclear exchange, so that he can tell the Maine Democrats that THE PEOPLE will not accept anything but him or his designated successor.
This is the kind of thing Trump would do.
If American democracy fails, everything people here care about - Gaza, climate change, spelling reform, whatever - gets worse. (Just ask the people now dying in Africa.)
So prioritize your voting as if you're a reasoning, capable adult, and not a single-issue child holding your breath.
Reminder that "real Maine guy" was recruited by two consultants who were not from Maine
When the president makes statements about the war, they are full of wishful thinking, hyperbole, and outright lies.
The public needs to demand the truth from Trump and Hegseth.

Miller might be on to something. This little Russian dumpling was an American citizen the minute the plane touched down, which meant I ended up having to support her and feed her for years
He’s already having trouble reading the Teleprompter
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, just said we lost 200,000 people in Vietnam.
This is profound stupidity, and one more indication of why he's an incompetent Commander in Chief.
I was harping on the tattoo because a guy who would get one, keep it, and lie about it - while already fending off accusations of being a terrible guy - probably had a lot of other time bombs in his campaign.
This is why you shouldn't get emotionally invested in candidates.
Jack Reed: How'd you miss it that they'd close the Strait of Hormuz
Hegseth: Biden

If Israel is your most important issue in this election, you're not really all that worried about American democracy.
Honestly, I've been scathingly critical of court-packing. Still think it's dangerous. But this court is the best argument for it in a century.
Joe Biden was, in fact, a good president.
