🚨UPDATE: Rümeysa Öztürk has now suffered three separate asthma attacks while in DHS custody.

She has not received her required asthma medications—a violation of her fundamental right to medical care.

This is cruelty, it is neglect, and it is a damning moral and legal failure.

Today, I reviewed some of the classified Epstein files.

They were disturbing & hard to review—but even harder for survivors to have experienced.

The DOJ must follow the law & release the files, with protections for survivors.

Our march towards healing, transparency, & accountability continues.

BREAKING: ICE killed a Minnesota woman in broad daylight & there must be accountability.

But when I moved to subpoena all records & footage related to this murder, Republicans voted it down.

They've never cared about law & order or keeping our communities safe.

Republicans snuck an amendment into this bill to ban Affordable Care Act insurance plans from covering abortion care.

This is part of their play for a national abortion ban, in the middle of the night, and ripping healthcare away from millions.

There's no ICE accountability without ending qualified immunity.

They're murdering people. There won't be justice for the lives they've stolen, but there must be accountability.

My bill with @markey.senate.gov would ensure families can sue the agents murdering their loved ones.

From Montgomery to Massachusetts, our destinies are tied.

That's why I'm in Alabama today organizing and mobilizing to defend our right to vote.

The blueprint for our survival has already been written, and we just have to follow it.

As a survivor of sexual violence, our work to release the Epstein files is deeply personal.

Healing, transparency, and accountability is long overdue.

It's been over a month since Adelita Grijalva was duly elected to Congress.

But Speaker Johnson is denying her constituents representation and refusing to swear her in because she is the last signature needed to force a vote to release the Epstein files.

Shameful.

Survivors of Epstein’s abuse deserve transparency, accountability, & healing.

That’s why I signed a discharge petition to force a vote on the House floor to release all the files.

And we won’t stop our push for a full, public Congressional hearing to ensure survivors are heard.

Our Haitian neighbors are deeply rooted in our communities and essential to our economy.

And terminating TPS for Haiti would be devastating & destabilizing, especially in Boston.

That's why we're fighting hard to extend Haiti TPS and we're closer than ever to getting it done.

I have no regard for a man who rips parents away from children, deports families, & imprisons our babies.

That's why I'm boycotting today's #SOTU & instead shedding light on the stories of our children terrorized by ICE.

Because our children deserve a childhood free from fear.

Today, we heard harrowing stories from survivors of Epstein's abuse.

Epstein is dead, but the hurt & harm he caused is alive and well.

We'll keep pushing for accountability, including a public Congressional hearing with survivors and the release of the full Epstein files.

This bill is for Renee Good, Keith Porter, & everyone in America to know that when ICE agents break the law & kill our neighbors, they'll be held accountable.

John Lewis said it best: In a democracy, the right to vote is the most powerful, nonviolent tool we have.

People marched, protested & bled for that right. But today it's under attack.

We must defend the right to vote & we can start by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

My constituent Ellen Mei, a dedicated USDA employee, was unlawfully terminated after warning the public of the administration’s cuts to SNAP.

She is an essential worker who is damn good at her job and who took an oath to serve and give back to our communities daily—to literally feed our neighbors.

For too long, our institutions have been more concerned with protecting predators than centering survivors.

That has to change.

For me and for all survivors, releasing the Epstein files is deeply personal.

UPDATE: House Oversight is convening a private roundtable with survivors of Epstein’s abuse.

This is a testament to our pressure.

I look forward to hearing from survivors & won't stop pushing for a full, public hearing so their stories are documented in the Congressional Record.

Jeffrey Epstein can rot in hell.

And I’m going to make sure he has no peace while he is there.
