Wait. They all shake hands at the end? What are we even doing here?
He's the US President suing you for $20 billion for reporting on the birthday card he sent his friend the pedophile in which he drew a naked girl & mused about secrets.
And they all shake hands?
Reminded that Trump was the one who originally wanted to ban TikTok after kids on TikTok reserved a bunch of fake seats for a rally, leaving an empty stadium. And then the Democrats handed him the ban (because they were upset that kids were saying mean things about Israel) for Trump to "save."
I kinda think it should be a career destroying scandal that the head of DHS (a department that shouldn't exist) is completely hallucinating hordes of drones that didn't exist that DHS didn't shoot down.
I dunno man. If I were a law student of Prof. Wurman's at UMinn Law... I'd be asking for my money back.
What happened wasn't "sue and settle." It was "sue an agency you control & have them provide you a massive economic win as a 'settlement.'"
If I can figure that out, so can Wurman
ICE will keep murdering random people until Democrats stop criticizing them is... well... quite a take.
Same people promoting this are screaming about Mamdani's grocery stores as "communism."
X (it's not Twitter any more and hasn't been in years) is the red state diner of the internet: the place lazy journalists go to get a sense of what they think "real" americans believe based on a ridiculously reductive and wrong definition of what it is to be a real american.
Since folks are bringing up their "Klip is an asshole" story, here's mine. Four years ago he co-authored an Intercept story that was just... wrong. On almost every level. And helped kick off the MAGA obsession that the Biden admin colluded with social media to "censor conservatives." I called it out
As a resident of California I can say... what the fuck is he talking about?
Stupidest times. We live in the stupidest of times.
Oh come on.
Dude financed a series of lawsuits designed to literally bankrupt and shut down critical media sites.
It's so weird living in this time where you can just say absolute bullshit on the teevee news and feel zero shame about it.
Actually read through the documents Trump released last night and they show basically the opposite of what he claimed. It shows that Russia aggressively sought to interfere on behalf of Trump in 2020. China explored it but thought the backlash would be too much and stayed out.
Preventing explosive diarrhea was apparently too DEI for the DOGE crew
At least this one believes in a future for physical discs.
"Improve its performance" is a very odd way of saying "not murdering people."
The smugness with which he insists no one was harmed and then tries to blame Bill Gates and MacKenzie Scott is ridiculous. If those two "could have" replaced the funding so too could Elon, whose net worth is more than both combined. But also, it shows a stunning lack of understanding of everything.
Rather than repeating debunked election conspiracy theories, in a better world, a President would be addressing... this:
Gosh. It's almost as if ICE has gotten the message that they can get away with murder and there will be zero consequences, and the media will call it an "ICE-involved" death rather than murder.
Just an astounding level of bigotry that many of us had assumed had been relegated to fringe corners and ancient history now brought back as the mainstream planks of the modern MAGA GOP.
My brain 100% insists this is bad PhotoShop. So, yeah, the sun is resting on my brain. Wow.
Stop believing VC bros who claimed they had to back Trump for the good of tech innovation. It was always bullshit. They just wanted access to power, as proven by them still supporting Trump after he has been way worse on tech policy than Biden.
So very Meta: "let's make sure we can prove other AI tools are just as bad, rather than focusing our attention on making ours better."
seems bad
