Man alive. I have studied Right Wing authoritarianism for years and have watched some truly fucked up shit and today’s memorial service is maybe the most concentrated example of how messed up and disturbing that sector truly is.

It's hard to overstate how destructive the reflexive "this is a distraction!" stuff that politicians and commentators and people are always peddling.

Everybody has it backwards.

Billionaires aren’t buying up these institutions to make money. They’re buying them to kill them. Same as the oligarchs destroying government and social programs and things like weather forecasting and regulatory bodies.

They’re creating a world they control completely

Do you understand they are weak and their violence comes from weakness?

If we fight them together, if we link arms, if we say enough in one voice, they will crumble and we will be free to create something better, something we deserve.

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

The point is to create a world in which the authoritarians can simultaneously inhabit a position of victim and abuser, creating an imagined threat of persecution and violence in order to persecute and carry out violence.

This is how this always works. We cannot allow this to continue.

Keep track of any Democrat or commentator or personality who advocates for Musk to be welcomed back into the fold. These are people you cannot trust and should be kept as far away from the levers of power as humanly possible.

ICE hasn't stopped brutalizing people or shredding the Constitution, it's just that corporate media turned the camera as the call for action got too loud and the Democrats stepped in and made sure the issue got changed.

If you sit for a second, you'll recognize that's what happened with BLM, too.

It's really something to read a convicted abuser and trafficker make sure in her DOJ interview to praise the President of the United States, who is trying to prove he wasn't one of her clients, in order to try and get a pardon from the President of the United States.

Amazon was pressured into giving the woman who survived New Orleans and was injured time off with pay after denying it.
