More than 100 of Governor Abbott’s buoys broke loose during deadly floods in Texas. Buoys with sharp razors are now causing damage to neighborhoods and have shut down a bridge that transports thousands of vehicles a day.

Just hours after the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela that killed over 1,900 people, ICE attempted to deport children and families from the Dilley Trailer Prison to Venezuela. They were woken up in the middle of the night and sent to Arizona on their way to Venezuela.

The ICE killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo looks more and more like a cold-blooded murder.

Hebert Ibarra Castro is a 20-year-old mariachi from San Antonio who was detained by ICE on his way home from performing at a birthday party.

I mourn the loss of two military heroes that made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. I am praying for their families and for the recovery of several other servicemembers who were injured during the attack.

Our nation should not be involved in this war.

ICE’s bounty hunters and agents are stalking Latinos across the country. They are looking for Latino men at construction sites and supply stores, listening for who is speaking Spanish, and stopping them.

In less than a week, ICE shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Joan Sebastian Guerrero. Two families are now without fathers.

Congress must disband ICE. Otherwise, these killings will continue.

Israel does not deserve more American money for weapons.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has taken Israel down an ugly path. Self-defense does not include indiscriminately bombing homes, hospitals, churches, schools or refugee camps.

I join the family in demanding a full investigation and have urged ICE to release all body-camera and dash-camera footage, as well as any communications from agents before and after the shooting.

Hebert came to the United States when he was just 4 years old with his family, fleeing violence in Mexico. Hebert’s wife is a U.S. citizen and is desperate for his return. My office is working to bring Hebert home where he belongs, with his young wife and family.

Still in his mariachi attire, a detention facility worker taunted him: "If you sing me a song, I'll let you go." What was meant as mockery, mariachis across San Antonio have turned into an act of solidarity and are banding together to sing for his release.

A baby girl is battling cancer while her father is locked away by ICE. Juan Francisco's 1-year-old daughter has a life-threatening eye cancer and was diagnosed last August. He has been at the Laredo Rio Grande Processing center for 157 days.

We remember the 139 lives lost in catastrophic flooding that devastated the Texas Hill Country a year ago today. I am grateful to the heroes and first responders who saved countless lives. We must continue to work at the federal, state, and local level to prevent future tragedies.

Thank you to the Salgado family and the entire city of Houston for the incredible courage you have shown standing up to injustice. Ronaldo and Lorenzo, your father will never be forgotten.

There are even credible reports of children intentionally shot in the head and chest.

I will vote yes on the amendment to cut military assistance to Israel.

The Supreme Court confirmed what we have always known: being born in America makes you an American.
