We cannot let this be normal. A sitting United States President has called for ‘death’ to sitting Members of Congress.

Those who he targets — veterans, intelligence community, federal workers — must stand up and fight.

I’m attending the #SOTU for one reason: duty.

As a 25-year Army veteran, I swore an oath to the Constitution — not to a political party or a president.

That oath requires me to hold this administration accountable, even when we hear a speech disconnected from reality.

The President needs to explain why he took the escalatory step of activating the Nat’l Guard. As an Army vet, I know that using the military domestically should ONLY be a last resort.

I came to this country as a refugee. I served 25 years in uniform, including as prosecutor.

I now serve as Rep. for a large and wonderful population full of immigrants from all over the world.

It’s been 15 days since signalgate and zero accountability.

Hegseth needs to resign. Congress needs to investigate.

FBI firings are a 5 alarm fire.

Firing the senior leadership, scores of senior agents and hundreds of line agents will make us less safe from criminals and external threats. This is a catastrophe of yet incalculable proportions. These attacks on law enforcement are a menace to the American people.

The One Ugly Distraction let ACA premium tax credits expire—jacking up health care costs for 22M Americans. In VA, a 55-year-old making $63K will pay $2,410 more just to keep their plan.

Working families pay the price for GOP cruelty.

The fervor for war by this President who never served a day in uniform is deeply disturbing.

The American people have made clear that they are tired of war.

Look, unilaterally cutting off federal grants and funding is likely unlawful. I’ve talked to a lot of people today who would like their voices heard on this.

I tried calling the White House, but their public comment line is closed.

They don’t want to hear from you, but I do.

The President is driving our economy into the ground, damaging our international relationships, breaking the government, and exposing Americans to danger. He owns that.

Allowing this CR to proceed puts a Democratic party stamp on it. It demonstrates weakness when the American people need strength.

Congress has an oversight role and I’m using it. I will always stand with our proven military leaders.

The very fact that Putin will be on American soil is a huge win for him.

First, he is legitimized and not a global pariah. Second, he would be subject to arrest in 123 countries due to his ICC arrest warrant.
