Because we refuse to take the word of law enforcement and the people Nolan Wells was with before he was discovered dead—racists ask why aren't we talking about Black on Black murder.
Answer:
The same reason they don't talk about White on White murder.
And— it's irrelevent.
HE'S ALIVE!
Well, sort of. 🤣🤣🤣

Between 1942 and 1949, roughly 20,000 Black men trained at Montford Point, NC. They faced severe Jim Crow segregation outside the base and intense skepticism inside it. Knowing they were "on trial," they pushed themselves past the breaking point to prove their worth. (cont)

Jorge Otero Barreto died in 2024, at age 87.
His story is a reminder:
Puerto Ricans have fought — and bled — in every major U.S. conflict. But their heroism is too often erased from the national narrative. Otero Barreto refused to be erased. (cont)

The Marine Corps makes training intentionally harsher for Montford Point recruits.
Long marches, punishing obstacle courses, weapons drills, and relentless discipline. The message: You must be twice as good to be considered equal. By late 1943, Black leadership emerged. (cont)
