One thing I really liked about The Odyssey is that I am personally pretty allergic to supernatural elements in *most* films and “character gets chewed out by ghost of a guy he sent to his death” is something I’d usually experience as slightly hokey but wow did that scene hit

“verify your age” I watched Marge vs. The Monorail on live television but didn’t see Cheers for the first time until I was an adult

Godfather 2 is better than Godfather 1 which is better than Goodfellas which is better than Godfather 2

I enjoy this as a funny anecdote but also lament the world we were deprived of in which understanding such an unknowable character became Redford’s singular obsession as an actor

Would be funny if Tenet was a lot subtler originally and then they had to add all the lines like “including my son” so Pattinson could follow it

I don’t believe that A.I. will ever be authentically funny but I do believe that it will be funnier than Elon Musk by the end of the year
