20 years ago today, I launched aboard Discovery on STS-121, the only shuttle mission ever to launch on July 4th. Pretty good way to spend Independence Day. Proud of everyone who made that mission happen and still proud of what this country can do when we invest in exploration.
If Trump wins, it’s a fair election. If he loses, there was fraud. Does he realize the election he’s talking about happened under his watch as President? The only reason Trump is bringing this up now is to distract from the fact he’s failed to make Americans' lives better.
Humans have always been explorers. On the anniversary of Apollo 11’s launch, I think of the crew and the thousands behind them who pushed us to dream bigger. Their achievement inspired a generation and changed the course of space exploration forever.
Pete Hegseth is the least qualified Secretary of Defense we’ve ever had, and it makes our country less safe.
Being a dad to Claudia and Claire, and grandpa to Sage is the best job I've ever had. On National Parents' Day, I’m so grateful for them, for Gabby, and for every Arizona parent doing the hard work of raising kids.
The World Cup didn’t go quite how we wanted, but Team USA made us proud. And it was a lot of fun hosting with Canada and Mexico. Congrats to Spain!
Trump’s “Golden Dome” project has the potential to be a $1+ trillion waste of taxpayer money. Ground-based missile defense is hard. Missile defense from space is even harder, and the physics do not favor the defense. We should be investing in systems that actually work.
On America's 250th birthday, we're celebrating the ideas that built the most prosperous, successful nation the world has ever known. Generations sacrificed for these freedoms, and it's our responsibility to protect them for the generations to come. Happy Independence Day.
Every kid deserves a role model, but fewer men are teaching, coaching, and volunteering in their communities than a generation ago. My legislation changes that — with real support to get more men mentoring the next generation.

Washington has transferred an enormous amount of this country's wealth from hardworking people to the top 1%. Working Americans deserve leaders who will fight for them — not for their billionaire backers.
Congratulations to all of our Democratic primary winners in Arizona. With candidates focused on delivering for Arizonans running in key districts like Amish Shah, Jonathan Nez, and JoAnna Mendoza, the path to flipping the House runs right through Arizona. Let’s get it done!
The thing I hear the most about from Arizonans right now is how expensive everything is. They’re spending more and getting less.
Bringing costs down is my top priority.
Trump has made billions while in office and wants you to believe there's nothing wrong with it. He’s making himself and other billionaires richer while jacking up prices for everyone else.
Being President is supposed to mean serving your country — not cashing in on it.
62 years ago today, the Civil Rights Act was signed. Black Americans fought, bled, and died for rights that should have been theirs from the start. We should honor that legacy by protecting voting rights, not gutting them. The work isn't done. Not even close.
Lots of people out in Tucson to watch Mexico take on England. Tucson and La Rosa sure know how to do the World Cup!
Groceries, gas, a doctor's visit. Americans shouldn't have to double-check their bank account to make sure they can afford the basics. This is a cost-of-living emergency, and I'm working to tackle it head-on with my bills to make life more affordable.
If you head to the grocery store to get ready for this weekend, it’s clear how much prices are up on everything. Celebrating July 4th with family shouldn’t break the bank, but we have an Administration that is letting costs skyrocket while telling us it’s the best economy ever.
You're working harder than ever, paying more for groceries, prescriptions, and rent. And Trump wants to use your tax dollars to build his ballroom and start a slush fund to pay off his friends. This is a level of corruption we’ve never seen before.
Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” has been law for over a year now, and it’s clear who won: rich people and big corporations who got a giant tax cut. They benefited while health care and food assistance were ripped away from millions of families across the country. Don’t forget that.
The Fourteenth Amendment is clear: If you're born in the United States, you're an American citizen. It’s that simple, no matter what Trump says. It has been the law of the land for over a century, and it’s outrageous that Trump ever tried to take it away in the first place.
The top 1% owns as much wealth as our entire middle class, while too many Americans who've done everything right still can't afford a home. This isn't a coincidence — it was planned. We fix it by knocking more doors, making more calls, and winning back our power this November.
One year ago, Trump passed his “One Big Beautiful Bill.” It slashed healthcare and food assistance from millions of people all to make millionaires and billionaires even richer. Remember that.
Owning a home has become out of reach for too many Americans, but that’s changing today. Our bill to build more homes and crack down on hedge funds buying houses has finally become law, which will lower housing costs and help more families finally afford the American Dream.
Republicans and Democrats worked together to pass a bill to build more housing and stop hedge funds from buying up single-family homes, but Trump is holding it hostage. He needs to stop playing games and sign the bill so more Americans can finally afford homes.
Fewer men are teaching, coaching, and volunteering than a generation ago, so more boys are growing up without different kinds of male role models. I introduced two bills to help fix that — recruiting more men into classrooms and other kinds of service to strengthen communities.
